Jorge Luis Borges’ short stories about maps as large as the territory they cover and libraries that never end are ur-dreams of the database. Working with a database of all possible Internet Protocol (IP) addresses from 000.000.000.000 to 255.255.255.255, Jevbratt used a robot crawler to catalogue over 200,000 of the sites. She created a number of interfaces to the results and Every assigns a pixel of colour to each IP address, mixing red, green and blue according to the octets (or parts) of the address. The project is exhibited both as a large-scale billboard print and an online interface.
