Slippery Traces is an image-driven hyper-narrative in which viewers navigate through a network of over 240 postcards of 1920s to 1940s family portraits, commercial images of places and cultures. The collection signifies in a dispersed way the autobiography of the artist, and has been classified into 24 categories or chapters. Each postcard image is evaluated and encoded through keywords in a database and has a number of clickable hotspots. Slippery Traces explores these database structures as a means of generating multi-linear narratives through the "slippery traces" of the artist's life.
